Fierce Nature Sun Balm is made with pure organic tallow and can be used as a daily face cream during the summer and for face and body during periods of high sun exposure. Non Nano Zinc oxide combined with the fat soluble vitamins and antioxidants of tallow, naturally help prevent and protect from sun damage without the harsh chemicals. We use non-nano zinc as the basis for our sun protection and this is a mineral that works to deflect the rays of the sun. This is unlike the chemicals used in mainstream lotions which work through a chemical reaction of absorbing the rays of the sun when they hit your skin. We recommend avoiding these chemicals like oxybenzone at all costs. Most SPF testing companies measure the efficacy of these chemicals in reaction to the sun. We do however use a recipe that equates to a protection of 20 SPF for our sun balm and stick but like with any mineral sun creamc the thicker and more whiter the cream when applies, the higher the block out. Non-Nano Zinc oxide is also amazing for eczema, nappy rash and acne.
